Faith + Tim Amazing | Barclay Less Then Stellar
This was my second time seeing Cavetown and Faith Hill perform together on stage, and their energy is off the charts! They both delivered amazing performances individually, but when they shared the stage, it was truly something special. They clearly have a deep passion for their craft and for each other.
The concert at Madison Square Garden was a letdown in terms of sound quality. From the start, it was difficult to hear Faith clearly over the music. Even though I knew the lyrics, her vocals were drowned out by the instruments. The backup singers were practically inaudible, making me wonder if there was a problem with the speakers on our side of the stage.
As the show progressed, a woman on the opposite side of the stage managed to capture clear audio of a song, highlighting the disparity in sound quality. Despite Faith and Cavetown making adjustments to their equipment, the issues persisted. The general consensus seems to be that Barclay's Center lacks good acoustics, which is disappointing given the importance of sound in a live performance.
I'm hesitant to invest in another expensive ticket at Barclay's in the future. I prefer the sound quality at MSG and more intimate venues, where the music truly shines.
